Moving Along

This coming winter break will signify the halfway mark in my grad program. This is frightening for many reasons, but the most immediate and present for me right now is the lack of work I have made. Of course, the things I have done so far were incredibly time and labor intensive. Nevertheless, the efficiency that I have been moving through this program with is well…inefficient.

Grad school can be many things for those who decide to do it. My notion of it has always been to give (buy) myself three years to do nothing but make the best work I can. This work will become evidence of my skills to execute concepts and communicate through materials that I will use to get more work in the future.

Most of the feedback I have received from peers and professors has been positive in the sense that it has allowed me to progress over some obstacles that I think were corralling me in various ways.

The key words and phrases for the next round of work are:

Simplification,

Diversity of materials,

Attention to :

Scale & Scope,

and

Efficiency
